Our Story
Steve and Deb Webster opened Striders in Grandville in 1998. Both avid runners, Steve and Deb wanted to create a place that would serve not only as a store, but also as a resource for the community. Their major goal was to provide help and support that would result in a lasting improvement in overall quality of life. As time went on, the business and the active population grew in kind. Erin, the Webster's daughter, joined the team and fell right in step with the ambitions of her parents.
In 2011, the opportunity arose to extend the Striders reach into the Eastown neighborhood. Steve and Deb brought Ben Pickel on board to help them construct and operate the new location, and in December of 2011, Striders in Eastown was born. The Websters approach each new endeavor with a genuine passion and enthusiasm noticeable to every person who comes in contact with them, their stores, and their events.
