Striders 5K Group

 

The 5K training groups at Striders are designed to help beginners reach the goal of completing a 5K race. The 8-week program will take particpants through the necessary training using the walk/run method. The group is free and meets at our Eastown location on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 PM.

If you'd like to join our group, please fill out the form below and bring it with you on the first day of training or stop by the store anytime to drop it off.

Striders 25K Training Group

The 25K training group at Striders is designed to prepare participants to run the 5/3 Riverbank Run. As a part of this group, you'll have themed training runs, aided (water and gel on the course) long runs, an 18 week training schedule, and group emails.

As an added benefit, you'll get 10% off shoes and apparel at both of our locations and a free entry into the Striders Saturday Classic on April 21.

The cost of this group is $75, and a portion of the proceeds will go to the A.T. Children's Project.

RunGR is a group that meets year-round and is comprised of individuals of all running ability, from those looking for their next PR to the casual runner looking for company on longer runs.

This group meets Tuesday and Thursday evenings for workouts and Saturday mornings for long runs. All workouts are designed by Coach Mike Wojciakowski and all long runs are mapped and aided.


grrcGrand rapids running club

The Grand Rapids Running Club meets year round on Wednesday evenings at Johnson park and on Saturday and Sunday mornings at John Ball Zoo. The group is open to runners of all abilities and offers a mentor training program for individuals intersted in running the Riverbank Run 25K for the first time.
